About Anton
Director of Goaltending
Coach Anton grew up playing hockey in Sweden at an early age of 4 years old. At age 16 Anton made an early decision to follow his hockey dream to North America where he played prep-School hockey for Northwood School in Lake Placid. After Northwood, Anton went on to play 4 years of NCAA hockey in the SUNYAC representing Suny Fredonia in upstate New York.
During his last collegiate year, while playing hockey Anton sustained a very serious accident that unfortunately made his playing career come to an end. With high hopes and dreams of playing professional hockey no longer being a possibility, Coach Anton has now shifted gears into coaching.
Prior to working with BTB Anton has been working at Goalie Academy for over a year as Goalie Instructor, running private and semi-private goalie lessons. Instructor for Men and Women’s Learn to skate program. Goalie instructor for goalie clinics for on and off-ice practices. Goalie instructor for Reston Raiders Hockey Organization for Spring and Winter season. Head Instructor for Reston Raiders on-ice tryouts. Goalie evaluator for USA hockey Southeastern District Player development Program goalies born 2004-2007. Coach Anton currently also helps working with goalies at The St. James hockey program.
After Anton left College he was planning on continuing playing professional hockey in Sweden and later use his College education to become a police officer. Life works in a very funny way sometimes. However, after little over a year and a half Anton has completely fallen in love with coaching and helping athletes reach their fullest potential. Anton has had the opportunity to play hockey all over the world and gone to hockey camps with some of the best instructors in the world and is extremely excited to give back to the hockey community. Just remember to have fun along the process.
